Use the AcuSport Min/Max Import/Export Utility

The AcuSport Min/Max Import/Export Utility allows the user to export min/max data to a specially formatted Excel file, modify the data in the file (outside of RTG software), and import the adjusted data back into the system to update the database.

Prepare For and Install the Utility

Complete each of the following procedures to ready the system for the utility:

• Install Microsoft Excel on the system machine.
• Update the AcuSport Vendor Catalog
• Build the Cross Reference

• Install the Min/Max Export and Import Utility

  Note: Contact your AcuSport Sales Professional to initiate installation of the utility.

Update the AcuSport Vendor Catalog

Complete the following procedure to update the AcuSport Vendor Catalog with the current catalog.

1. Log in to the IMS application and select Data > Vendor Catalog from the menu bar to display the Vendor Catalog window.
2. Click the AcuSport vendor in the list to select it.

3. Click the Detail tab to display it.

   

4. Click the Interface button to display the Choose an Interface window.
5. Click the AcuSport Catalog FTP option to select it.

6. Click the OK button to display the AcuSport Import window.

   

7. Enter credentials in the fields:

   Note: Credential fields are case-sensitive.

   Server	acuftp.acusport.com
   Account #	ars_customer
   Password	294Q7335r54G

8. Click the OK button to start the import process.

   Note: The process may take a few moments to run.

Build the Cross Reference

Complete the following procedure to associate an item with its unique AcuSport part number.

1. Log in to the IMS application and select Data > Vendor Catalog from the menu bar to display the Vendor Catalog window.
2. Click the AcuSport vendor in the list to select it.

3. Click the Detail tab to display it.

   

4. Click the Bld Xref button to display a confirmation window.
5. Click the Yes button to display another window asking to update the last cost in existing cross references.

6. Click the No button to close the window and start the build process.

   Note: The process may take a few moments to run.

7. When the process completes, the system displays a results window.
8. Click the OK button to close this window.

Install the Min/Max Export and Import Utility

Contact your AcuSport Sales Professional to initiate installation of the utility.

Export Min/Max Data with the Utility

Complete the following procedure to export min/max data to a specially formatted Excel file for review/modification outside the V6 system.

1. Log in to the IMS application and select Utilities> Custom Utilities from the menu bar to display the Utility window.
2. Click the acusport min max utility.fxp option to select it.
3. Click the OK button to display a confirmation window.
4. Click the Yes button to run the utility.
5. Click the Export button to save the Excel file to the machine’s desktop.
6. If necessary, transfer the Excel file to the machine on which it can be reviewed/modified.
7. When the file has been modified as desired, Import Min/Max Data with the Utility.

Import Min/Max Data with the Utility

Complete the following procedure to import min/max data from a specially formatted Excel file into the system.

1. If necessary, transfer the Excel file from the machine on which it was reviewed/modified to the machine running the IMS application.
2. Log in to the IMS application and select Utilities> Custom Utilities from the menu bar to display the Utility window.
3. Click the acusport min max utility.fxp option to select it.
4. Click the OK button to display a confirmation window.
5. Click the Yes button to run the utility.
6. Click the Import button to display a confirmation window displaying needed columns.
7. Click the OK button to display a search window.
8. Locate and select the Excel file to be imported.
9. Click the Import button to update the database with the data from the Excel file.
