Define Memberships screen

The Define Memberships screen allows the user to establish or update a membership's name, terms, prices, discounts, and billing and expiration dates.

Use the Define Memberships screen

1. Log In to the Data Center Application to display the Data Center ribbon menu.

   

2. Select Memberships > Define Memberships from the main menu to display the Define Memberships screen.

   

3. Complete the desired procedure(s) with onscreen features.

   Membership Name list	Click a membership in the Membership Name list to select it and display its Define/Edit Membership, Membership Incentives, and Member List sections.
   Add button	Click the Add button to create a new membership (name) and display its Define/Edit Membership, Membership Incentives, and Member List sections.
   Delete button	Click the Delete button to remove the selected membership from the Membership Name list.
   Submit button	Click the Submit button to save changes to a membership.
   Define/Edit Membership and Recurring Information Sections fields
   Note: Required fields and settings are displayed with red borders. Membership Name field Edit the membership name as needed. Membership Terms field Enter the membership's terms. The terms entered can serve as a description. Price field Enter the membership's initial price. If a price is entered, this amount will be charged when the membership is purchased through the Register application. If no price is entered (or the price is set to zero), a member may be added through the Data Center application without an initial transaction. Additional Family Members Allowed field Enter the number of group/family members that may be added to a member's membership. Length of Membership field Enter the membership's length in months. If a never-ending membership is desired, enter "9999" in the field. No Expiration checkbox Check the checkbox to have no expiration for the membership. Contract Expiration field Enter the membership's contract expiration in months. Billing Start Date field Enter the maximum number of days that can occur between a member's initial join date and the first billing date. Class Discount checkbox Check to add a percentage discount on classes. Percentage Discount field Enter the percentage discount in decimal form (e.g., .25). Firearm Rental Discount checkbox Check to add a percentage discount on range firearm rentals. Percentage Discount field Enter the percentage discount in decimal form (e.g., .25). Recurring checkbox Check the checkbox to activate the fields in the Recurring Information section. Billing Cycle drop-down Select the billing cycle's length (number of months) from the drop-down. Note: If a value has been entered in the Length of Membership field, the system determines the ways in which that value can be equally divided into groups of complete months and displays only those numbers in the drop-down. (For instance, a Length of Membership value of 12 could be divided into billing cycles of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 12 months, while a value of 10 could be divided into 1, 2, 5, or 10 months.) Recurring Price Enter the price to be automatically charged to the member's credit card for each billing cycle. If a recurring price is entered, the system will prompt for credit card information when a membership is purchased through the Register application and allow the operator to modify the recurring billing date if needed.
