Min/Max Guidelines and Tips

Please consider the following when setting Min/Max values:

• If an item’s ARS2 checkbox is checked, its Min/Max values will be ignored.
• If an item does not have a Min Qty or Max Qty value, it will not be included in Auto Replenishment.
• The system does not reorder an item until its QoH is less than its Min Qty value.
• If an item’s Min Qty is 1, the system does not reorder until the item is out of stock (has a QoH of 0).
• If an item’s Min Qty is 1 or more and its Max Qty is 0, the system prompts the user to order up to the Min Qty value.
• If an item’s Min Qty is 1 or more and its Max Qty is greater, the system prompts the user to order up to the Max Qty value.

• If an item is ordered/received in a case (or other package containing multiple selling units), note the Min/Max and Case UPCs guidelines below.

Min/Max and Case UPCs

Note these special considerations for items that are ordered and received in a case (or other package containing multiple selling units):

• If an item is ordered and received in a case, the case UPC must be linked to the single item UPC so the system can automatically adjust inventory and ordering levels and avoid conflicts. (Refer to Link a Case UPC to a Single Item for more information.)

  Example: Consider a type of ammunition that is sold by the box but ordered and received in a case containing 10 boxes. If the box (single item) UPC is properly linked to the case UPC, the system will adjust inventory quantities appropriately:

  • If a case is received, the box’s QoH is increased by 10.
  • If a case is sold, the box’s QoH is decreased by 10.
• The Min Qty and Max Qty (and AcuSport part number) values must be set for the case UPC, not for the individual selling unit item.

• The system does not trigger a reorder for a case UPC until the item's QoH drops more than a half-case below the Min Qty value.

  Example: The reorder points below can be determined using this procedure:
  1. Subtract 1/2 case from the Min Qty value to determine a new baseline (i.e., 4.5 cases).
  2. Identify the QoH level (whole number) immediately below that baseline.
