Create an Inventory Count Group

Complete the following procedure to create an inventory count group for performing a physical inventory count.

1. Navigate to the Inventory Groups window.

   1. Log In to the Data Center Application to display the Data Center ribbon menu.

      

   2. Select Inventory Management > Inventory Stocktaking from the main menu to display the Inventory Groups window in front of the Product Inventory Stocktaking screen.

   

2. Click the Add New button to close the Inventory Groups window and display the Product Inventory Stocktaking screen.

   

3. Select onscreen options to determine which products are displayed on the screen:
   • Enter a string of characters in the Filter field and press the Enter key to allow only Descriptors that contain the string to be available in the Attributes section.
   • Click an Attribute heading to display its list of available Descriptor options.
   • Check a Descriptor checkbox to add it to the Selected item(s) list. (Uncheck a Descriptor checkbox in the Selected item(s) list to remove it.)
   • Click the Clear button to remove all Attributes and Descriptors from the Selected item(s) list.
   • Click the Submit button to apply the filters in the Selected item(s) list to the main screen.

4. Click the Add Group button to display the Please enter new group name window.

   

5. Enter a unique name for the inventory group in the Group Name field.

   Note: Group names may not be reused.

6. Click the OK button to create the group. The system will close the Inventory Groups window and display the selected group name in the Current Group Name: heading on the Product Inventory Stocktaking screen.
7. Perform a Physical Inventory Count for Non-Firearm Items.
