Physical Machines screen

The Physical Machines screen allows the user to set up, edit, and delete a physical machine (POS or tablet).

Use the Physical Machines screen

1. Log In to the Data Center Application to display the Data Center ribbon menu.

   

2. Select Setup > Physical Machines from the main menu to display the Physical Machines screen.

   

3. Complete the desired procedure(s) with onscreen features.

   New Physical Machine button	Click the New Physical Machine button to set up a new physical machine with the Define/Edit Physical Machine Mapping window.
   Edit button	Click a physical machine’s Edit button to modify it in the Define/Edit Physical Machine Mapping window.
   Delete button	Click a physical machine’s Delete button to remove it from the list.
   Define/Edit Physical Machine Mapping Window fields
   Logical Name Enter the store's name for the component (e.g., Register 1). Windows System Name Enter the Windows System Name for the component. Note: The name assigned may not be a duplicate of another machine's name. If needed, complete the following to find the name: Right-click the component's Computer icon to display a menu. Click the Properties option to display system information. Locate the Computer name. Is POS Check the checkbox if the component is a Point Of Sale (place where transactions occur). Is Tablet Check the checkbox if the component is a tablet. Is EMV Check the checkbox if the terminal is EMV-compatible. Payment Terminal Name Select the terminal's name from the drop-down. Note: Refer to Manage Payment Terminals for more about naming a terminal.
