Waiting Period Setup screen

The Waiting Period Setup screen allows the user to establish waiting periods for firearm types and identify days/dates that do not apply to waiting period calculations.

Use the Waiting Period Setup screen

1. Log In to the Data Center Application to display the Data Center ribbon menu.

   

2. Select Setup > Firearms > Waiting Periods from the main menu to display the Waiting Period Setup screen.

   

3. Complete the desired procedure(s) with onscreen features.

   Firearm Type Waiting Periods controls and fields
   Type Select the firearm type from the drop-down field. Note: If a waiting period has already been set up for the selected firearm type, the new waiting period will take the place of the existing period. Duration Enter the waiting period in hours in the field. Day Of Sale Excluded If the waiting period does not start until the day after a transaction, check the checkbox. Do Not Allow Exceptions If exceptions to the waiting period are not allowed, check the checkbox.
   Save button	Click the Save button to add/update the waiting period on the list
   Edit button	Click the Edit button to display the selected waiting period’s information on the screen.
   Delete button	Click a waiting period's Delete button to remove it from the list.
   Exempt Day From Waiting Periods controls
   Weekday buttons	Click a weekday button to add all corresponding dates to the Exempt list.
   Calendar	Select a Date on the calendar to select it for inclusion in the Exempt list.
   Delete (red X) button	Click an exempt date’s Delete (red X) button to remove the date from the list.
   Add Date button	Click the Add Date button to add the selected date to the Exempt list.
   Clear List button	Click the Clear List button to remove all dates from the Exempt list.
